Christian Lee Hutson claimed Elliot Smith as a major influence so I wanted to do a deeper dive.  The first time I heard Elliot Smith I was watching a VHS of Good Will Hunting and I thought there was Simon and Garfunkel material that had gone undiscovered by me.  Turns out after listening to Elliot Smith for two weeks straight, I was in a different place than I’ve been in a while.  Put down your razor blades and turn off the car when the garage door is shut...Let’s talk about the troubled genius that was Elliot Smith.
